Meditation

Living a better life is what this blog is all about.  Meditation is the single most important thing I do on a daily basis to help me stay connected with my heart.  I find that the time spent in quiet solitude, focusing on my breath and on my heart really help me to make better decisions, respond to stressors more effectively and ultimately help keep me connected to my truth.  Just so you know, part of my truth is to live life in each moment accepting and radiating my own unique light into the world.  It’s so easy to lose focus throughout the day and to let that light’s presence dim.  I’ll routinely take a few quieting breaths to help settle my mind, my anxieties and my emotions.  It’s important for me to remember that I give power to the things I focus on and my meditations help me to evaluate which thoughts, fears, anxieties and intentions I’m empowering.  And trust me, I choose to let me stressors control me far more than I’d like to admit.  So, meditation for me isn’t just about the time I sit quietly without distraction but it’s about letting each moment of my life become a moment in meditation, a moment of mindfulness, and a moment of truth.  It’s about letting my life become something more, an expression of my truth and my light.
